SMS_MP_CONTROL_MANAGER Failed to Start 0x80041002

Ran into a lovely issue on a Monday morning (typical)


No Clients could talk to the server, Apps & Packages couldn’t be deployed, remote tools un-accessible ….basically everything ground to a hault!

I did some research and couldn’t really find an instant fix regarding this, so I uninstalled the Management Point Role, checked the logs to make sure…rebooted the server, then re-installed the role


Hey presto! All things working again 🙂
